The Dinosauroid: Dale Russell's Humanoid Dinosaur

Abstract

Dale Russell, discoverer of Stenonychosaurus (now called Troodon), then of the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Ottawa, Canada, postulated that late Cretaceous dinosaurs were well on the way to becoming intellectual animals, and would have succeeded if the dinosaurs had not suffered extinction. Stenonychosaurus had an opposable thumb, stood upright about three feet tall and had binocular vision. Who Lies Sleeping? The Dinosaur Heritage and the Extinction of Man by Dr Michael D Magee

Before you go, think about this…

Old bishop Skinner had a bicycle puncture in his rear tyre. A deacon approaching saw the old man prop his bicycle against a wall and start to pump up the front tyre. “But, my Lord”, he exclaimed, “you are pumping the wrong tyre. It’s the rear one that’s punctured!” “Indeed”, replied Skinner, “but surely they are in communion?”.
