Directory Summary
Admirers of the Christadelphian Creationist, Reverend Phibber, have published his childish book,
God’s Truth! A scientist shows why it makes sense to believe the Bible, on the web under the pseudonym of Alan Hayward. Hayward boasts an impressive assembly of qualifications [MSc (Eng), PhD, F Inst P, C Eng, M Inst Mech E, F Inst Pet] except that four of them are bought for an annual fee. Phibber was an engineer, but unlike good engineers, he was no scientific thinker. He tarnishes the noble profession of engineering by showing he has no comprehension of the basis of it—science. His extra-mural interest in being an amateur vicar shows that science loses him. For a scientist to believe in mere hearsay and authority is laughable. Far from being a scientist qualified to expound on the failings of science, he proves intellectually suited only to telling fairy stories with no basis in fact or reason—as any scientist knows. Typical of Christian dishonesty, he tries to use science to prove Christianity, subsuming science to his unproven and unprovable Christian fancies. The gullibility of the Christian flock is legendary, and Phibber either exemplifies it, or should have joined the shepherds who depend on the grateful but credulous sheep. These pages look at his puerile arguments.

Give or take a few, it’s been 23752 months since the first coming of Christ ended. The Rapture can’t be long now… Can it?
