think everyone except those who share your particular beliefs will permanently burn in hell forever, and still claim Christianity has a loving God and is a religion of love…
think prayers are answered though conceding it works only for those who truly believe, sure proof then that no one does truly believe because no convincing scientific evidence has ever been produced to confirm that prayers are answered, but rather has shown they are not…

Science thrives on errors, cutting them away one by one. False conclusions are drawn all the time, but are drawn tentatively. Hypotheses are framed so that they are capable of being disproved. A succession of alternative hypotheses is confronted by experiment and observation. Science gropes and staggers towards improved understanding. Proprietary feelings are offended when a scientific hypothesis is disproved, but such disproofs are recognized as central to the scientific enterprise. Pseudoscience is just the opposite. Hypotheses are framed so they are invulnerable to any experiment that offers a possibility of disproof, so even in principle, they cannot be invalidated. Practitioners are defensive and wary. Sceptical scrutiny is opposed. When the pseudoscientific hypothesis fails to catch fire with scientists, conspiracies to suppress it are blamed.
