Broken Promises (aka Lies!) revealed in the US draft UN resolution (9 May 2003): 1. Oil. Blair: “We don’t touch it and the US doesn’t touch it” (7 March 2003). US and UK had control of Iraq’s oil revenues, the Iraqi puppet government forced into a deal. 2. UN Role. Bush: “The UN will have a vital role to play” (8 April 2003). All operational decisions were taken by US and UK officials. The UN was “advisory”. 3. WMDs. Jack Straw, UK Foreign Minister: “Should the UN have a vital role to play in respect of weapons inspections? The answer to that is yes” (25 April 2003). The UN weapons inspectors were ignored. 4. Aid. Blair: The UN should have a key role in administering the delivery of humanitarian aid (18 March 2003). US and UK oversee aid. 5. Government. Blair: Military action is to uphold the authority of the UN and to make sure Saddam is disarmed (7 March 2003). US and UK to be occupying powers in Iraq.

Creationists are trying to pick and choose research results that fit the Jewish scriptures. Research workers in Moslem countries have complained that they have been prevented from publishing findings contrary to Islamic teaching. No one can dissent from the supposed words of God or the Prophet under Fundamentalist dogma, yet they are never content to keep their dogmas to themselves. Everyone else must obey them too. Free thinkers must be on guard against the bid to take over the free society and turn it into one theocracy or another.
