Draft Impeachment Letter:
A pompous and irate US spokesperson publicly boasted about US democracy, and berated the British for allowing people to criticize the Bush administration’s warmongering policy. Top Americans obviously do not understand what democracy is. Democracy does not only allow disagreement, it approves of it. Too many US Congressmen do not understand it, and few had the courage to stand against the mendacious and hypocritical Bush. Congressmen and US Supreme Court Judges should remember that in democracies Presidents are elected by an ungerrymandered majority vote. They can post a clear reminder by punishing the former President as a war criminal, and some of his aides too.Crusading scribblers urging war from their safe offices quoted soldiers in Iraq as saying they just had a job to do, and they hoped the country was behind them. The soldier’s job was not to be the private army of party political leaders even if elected like Blair, but particularly when falsely elected like Bush. They were to uphold and defend the wishes of the majority of the people. Unscrupulous gangs used the loyalty and bravery of our military for their own ends. It is unforgiveable.
Blair was properly elected in the UK but ignored the rank and file in every important matter. He and Bush, who was not properly elected at all, ignored the UN, thus demolishing the legal basis of international affairs. The contempt they showed for the law should make everyone shudder, and remind us that they must be brought to book if the reputation of the US and UK are to survive.

Protest
Send them to local newspapers too. Pester local and national representatives, MPs, Governors, Senators, PMs, Presidents, anyone important, with as many as you need to get attention. Let them know the killing—and destruction of our own hard won democracy in the name of the “war on terrorism&rdquo—were not in our names! The criminals must be punished or our values are held up by the world as hypocritical. Lists of media and politicians can be found online. Here are some websites with email links:
